Travel and Events are generally not known to be very sustainable. Armed with knowledge from her time helping build a sustainable lifestyle brand early in her career, Adventure Architects co-founder Carina Hessmer has been working with our team to ensure sustainability stays top of mind in everything we do.

ENVIRONMENTAL
We work with our partners to promote composting and recycling
We ask all partners to not use any single-use plastics during our events and to offer alternatives
Prioritize locally sourced, seasonal ingredients & humanely raised meats
Reduce plastic based products (example: pencils vs plastic pens)
Reduce quantity of packages and packaging
We encourage and offer resources to offset travel emissions for our clients
Utilize storage unit to reuse event materials or rent when possible
Promote digital event materials
Cut down on food waste (plated vs buffet)
Prioritize green friendly venues and consult venues on how they can become more green
We choose promo/swag bag materials carefully, opting for more sustainable and useful products.
We are selective of our partner vendors and venues
MEMBERSHIPS
Our Team is excited to be going through the sign up process for 1% for the Planet, and should be fully certified by next year. This means that we are committing to donating 1% of annual revenue to certified environmental causes
We keep up to date with the resources provided by The Society For Sustainable Events (SFSE): βTo advocate and educate around sustainability in the meetings and events industry.β
