ADVENTURE ARCHITECTS OFFERS VIRTUAL TEAM BUILDING

Crew wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in event of success.

Based on Shackleton's legendary tale of Survival In Antarctica this 60 minute virtual adventure is designed for groups of 4 - 200 participants.

IMMERSIVE THEATER || ZOOM || IMPROV || ESCAPE ROOM

Their accounts are undoubtedly one of the most epic adventure stories of all time; 28 men survived for 2.5 years in Antarctica, before rowing across the infamous Drake's Passage back to the nearest inhabited island.

Expect the group to curse, laugh, and scratch their heads as they collaborate on problem-solving challenges; improvise creatively, and tackle unexpected plot twists head-on.

A TATTERED BOOK

When Pablo Durana (our in house cinematographer) came back from his 2 month North Face Queen Maud Land Expedition in Antartica, he raved about a book he read while waiting out storms in their tents. He handed Adventure Architects co-founder, Carina Hessmer, his tattered copy of the “The Endurance”. The author, Alfred Lansing collected the journals each of the 27 men kept during the 2.5 years they were stranded in Antartica. The story he narrates inside these pages is truly inspiring. Has there ever been a told a story of survival more compelling than this?

Carina took note of Shackleton’s exemplary leadership skills and emphasis on maintaining high moral in the face of great adversity and uncertainty and when the pandemic hit, it was in this book that she sought and found direction.

Our team specializes in helping teams small and large work better collectively. From fun team building experiences to rigorous pushing of comfort levels in order to examine on a deeper level, default behavior and team dynamics. We use adventure to guide conversations to achieve a better functioning team.

As the pandemic unfolded our clients looked to us to help them navigate their teams through this time of uncertainty. And Carina looked to Shackleton.

Working closely with Noah Rainey (the other Adventure Architects founding half), she designed an immersive, interactive online experience that would allow teams to spend quality time together virtually. Using Shackleton’s incredible storyline of survival as the backdrop, participants compete to escape Antarctica. High moral and team work are key to success.

Depending on the client’s objective, the experience concludes with a celebratory happy hour or a deep dive debrief.

Now, 3 months into launch, our team is expanding our roster of Shackleton actors as we ramp up for the virtual holiday parties. Does your team have what it takes?
