ELLERY’S ADVENTURE STORY
I was producing an overnight retreat in the beautiful Tomales Bay for a team of 25 people. We were to Kayak into the campsite area by dusk, have dinner under the stars and then go back out on the water for a session of moonlight bioluminescent kayaking. Once we had reached the campsite one of the attendees had discovered they had forgotten to pack their insulin. I along with the team I was producing with were able to have a motor boat come pick up the attendee and bring us back to town against high current and strong winds. Once we made it to the town the attendee was able to contact her physician and have a prescription sent to the local pharmacy before it closed. With the medication in tow we all embarked in the dark back out to the campsite safley. We may have missed the catered dinner but a sandwich was all we needed to take part in the bioluminescent kayaking. Seeing the attendee smile with her coworkers under the moonlight and not having to miss out was the greatest reward. I also have never slept so well in my life, phew!
