Meet Carina Durana, co-founder of Adventure Architects—a globetrotting experience designer, facilitator, and director known for her work creating powerful moments within the realms of event and video production. Leaning on her expertise in high impact experience design, she meticulously crafts moments and stories that consistently delight her clients and audiences.
Before founding her own venture in 2018, Carina served as the Director of Experience Design at San Francisco-based firm, Entire Productions. Fueled by a desire to redefine the depth and significance of her work, she co-founded Adventure Architects with Noah Rainey, formerly Director of Community at Summit. Together, they offer a comprehensive suite of services dedicated to cultivating high-functioning cultures within corporate teams & community groups.
YOUNG CARINA’S ADVENTURE STORY
3 weeks into our 6 week adventure through Morocco, the steering on our sky blue Volkswagen bus got bent on a dirt road deep in the desert. Kind locals took us in and invited us to their afternoon tea. Normally a ritual reserved to the men of the community. As foreign women were were given the unique privilege to partake. I was particularly enchanted by the precise mastery of the tea pour, as he raised the teapot higher and higher like a dancer, filling each cup with the sweet moroccan mint tea unique to that area.

NOLS Wilderness First Responder Training, Adult/Child CPR, AED & Airway Management, FAA Pilots drone pilot license, FEMA Community Emergency Response, Wilderness First Aid through WFAC, Sierra Club Backpack Leadership Training, Orienteering via ROTC Army & has a certificate for Epinephrine Auto Injections. She has received training specifically in Leadership and Facilitation, Wilderness/Adventure Leadership, Therapeutic Recreation & Special Population and previously volunteered with Search & Rescue via the Marin County Sheriff's Office
